Coronavirus Covid-19 2021 update
In light of the latest guidelines, patients are now welcome for both emergency and routine osteopathic treatments
All our policies are directed by UK Government Health and Safety measure policies and The General Osteopathic Council of Great Britain

Make your appointment by phoning 0161 766 6900 - or by texting 07749 898002 and we will phone you back. After we have discussed your own individual problem, you may be asked a few simple screening questions in order to make your appointment. These are just to ensure your own patient safety and that of the wider community.

Have you travelled abroad in the last 10 days?
What is your age (to check if you are in the vulnerable category)
Have you had a temperature, sore throat, cold or chest infection?
Have you, or anyone in your house, had contact with anyone displaying symptoms of Covid 19?
Have you any underlying health problems?

On arrival, the waiting room will no longer be used – just stay in your car, call us and someone will collect you.

We have taken new measures to help keep you safe.

There will be thorough cleaning of the room in between patients. Each appointment will be staggered if another Osteopath or therapist is working so that no contact between patients will be made.

Inside the building, gel will be provided so that you can sanitise your hands. Disposable masks will also be provided.

The practitioner will wear a disposable mask which will be changed with each patient.

Treatment tables all have plastic covers and pillowcases which are easily wiped and sterilised after each patient. There will also be disposable paper covering each table. No bed linen will be used - and no towels, if you wish, you may bring your own.

Before each and every patient, practitioners have been trained to clean the room, couch and door handles – and to wash their hands and arms up to their elbows.

Your care and safety in this time of uncertainty, is our utmost priority – and every step we have taken has been done with this in mind.

Osteopathy is an established and respected treatment method, recognised by the British Medical Association.

It works on the idea that the way the body works mechanically, has an effect on its function and whether or not there is pain.

What an Osteopath will do is try to find any problems with the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues and treat them using a combination of soft tissue massage, gentle stretching techniques and manipulation.

Darren Hayward has been a qualified Osteopath for over twenty years, attaining a degree from the British School of Osteopathy in 1994.

He has worked within several practices in the Manchester and Cheshire regions, helping patients of all ages, with a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions.

He also has a special interest in sports injuries and the condition M.E. or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
